She has a Master's of Science from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Her degree, along with over two decades of experience as a forensic chemist, brings her a keen observation and passion for storytelling to her work, creating unique and engaging stories. 

Fields' children's picture books are a testament to her boundless creativity and infectious enthusiasm. Her Teen Literature(TL) novels captivate readers with their thrilling plotlines, relatable characters, and thought-provoking themes.
